Stretching

With any joint or muscle injury, stretching and strengthening exercises will be a vital part of your treatment/management plan.  Although research around the benefits of stretching are mixed, it is known that stretching can improve flexibility and in turn improve joint range of motion. Strong, flexible joints and muscles make everyday activities easier to perform, giving you greater independence and an improved quality of life.

At Ipswich Podiatry, stretching and strengthening programs are used as adjunct therapy to help patient’s keep physically active.  Depending on the individual, stretching and exercise programs will vary and be tailored to specific needs.
