Marathon runners

Running is a great way to improve cardiovascular fitness and build strong bones. Running does carry a small risk of injury, however with the right advice on shoes, surfaces, warm up and technique, these injuries can be avoided. The majority of running injuries/problems occur from the hips down to the feet. Knee pain, stress fractures, Achilles tendonitis, heel pain and associated muscle and ligament strains are all problems that new and experienced runners alike may incur. Podiatrists are able to diagnose and manage such injuries accordingly to get you back to running as quickly as possible.
